There’s a version of me who apologized for taking up half the sidewalk. Who said “sorry” when a stranger bumped into her. For most of my life, I was very, very good at being convenient.
I made myself small so other people could feel big. I smoothed things over before anyone thought to ask. I could read a room in about four seconds and then quietly rearrange myself to fit it. Motherhood. Marriage. A career that ended without asking my permission first. I know what it costs to keep everyone else comfortable, because I paid it for years in a currency I didn’t know I was spending.
And the shrinking wasn’t something I came up with on my own. It was taught — patiently, early, and mostly without anyone saying it out loud. I grew up in a world where belonging depended on appearing certain, and where a woman’s goodness could be measured in inches of fabric. Nobody handed me a rulebook. They didn’t have to. I learned to check myself before anyone else could, and I called it being good.
Then I stopped. Not in some burn-it-all-down, cinematic moment, because nobody stops all at once. It was quieter than that. It happened on ordinary afternoons, when I’d catch myself shrinking and decide, just that once, not to.
I stopped waiting for permission to take up space. I built this instead.
Why “strong, soft, and sexy”
Because you were never supposed to pick one. Strength on its own hardens into armor, and you can’t feel much of anything through armor. Softness on its own gets you walked over by people who mistake kindness for an open door. The two of them need each other to stay honest.
And then there’s sexy. Real sexy has nothing to do with performing for anyone. It’s what shows up on its own once the strong part and the soft part quit fighting and agree to share the same body. That’s the work. That’s what this whole space is here for.
What you’ll find here
Honest writing about confidence, connection, and what life actually feels like once you quit making yourself small — from learning to live in the body you actually have to what my work is actually like behind the screen. Live streams where nobody has to pretend to be anyone. And one-on-one coaching, for the people who are ready to feel at home in their own skin.
I read the messages people send me. All of them. Be kind to me and I’ll be real with you. That’s the whole deal.
Welcome. I’m genuinely glad you’re here.
